Project highlights

The Victorian Government awarded Bendigo Kangan Institute $60m to build a Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) at our Broadmeadows Campus.

The building will include flexible learning spaces and state-of-the-art simulation spaces and equipment for health and community services, along with associated external landscaping.
Welcoming and accessible to students, staff and the community

  • Hands on and industry relevant specialist simulation spaces
  • Highly flexible spaces to facilitate multiple delivery modes and uses with digital and AV technology
  • Learning will be showcased throughout the building
  • Environmentally sustainable with an aim to achieve 5 Star Green Star accreditation

Construction: Early 2023 to Late 2024

Classes Commence: First day of term 2025

The HACCOE will be built on the Broadmeadows campus, facing the town park and Pearcedale Parade.

The landscaping between the Town Park and the HACCOE building will be blended to create seamless connection between the public space and the campus. Full glazing will take advantage of the view into the park and greenery, while also showcasing the hands-on learning occurring within.

The new HACCOE building has been designed to work both in the short term with the existing buildings on campus, and to align with the ultimate master plan vision for the overall campus.
