Emerging designers to heat up Bendigo Fashion Festival

Kangan Institute’s fashion and millinery students will be showing off their creative process at the 2016 Bendigo Fashion Festival this October.

13 fashion and millinery students will participate in the cocktail hour and fashion innovation segments of the event, showcasing their original designs to an audience of industry experts and fashion lovers.

On the runway at Kangan Institute’s millinery parade at the 2016 Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.

“It is opportunities like these that make all the difference for budding designers who wish to gain a foothold within this dynamic industry,” said Kangan Institute’s creative industries manager Katrina Jojkity.  

“The Bendigo Fashion Festival has, for the past ten years, built a solid reputation as one of the biggest fashion celebrations in regional Victoria and it’s a true privilege for our students to be a part of this event.”

The show will be held on Friday 7 October, from 7.30pm at Ulumbarra Theatre, Bendigo. Hair and beauty students from sister institute Bendigo TAFE will work alongside the fashion students to style the models in line with the collection on display.
