Born and raised in Thailand, new migrant Sureerat says the AMEP course – which also includes a two-week work placement experience – has challenged her to improve her skills and widen her career options.
“The teachers really care about students and explain things we don’t understand. We use English as the main language in class and learn new vocabulary all the time. It gets more difficult each day but I enjoy the challenge,” she said.
“I observed and learnt a lot at my work placement in a gym. After my English course I’m thinking of learning more about personal training or cooking.”
