Q: What did you enjoy most about your experience studying at Kangan Institute?
A: The flexibility was a huge highlight for me. Being able to study in the evenings after work meant I could continue learning while balancing my professional commitments. I also met an amazing group of people and we built strong connections that I know will last well beyond the course. Our trainer, Jasmina, played a big part in making the experience so positive. She explained concepts clearly, made learning accessible, and provided thoughtful feedback that really supported my growth throughout the course.
Q: How did your course help prepare you for work or your current role?
A: As a primary school teacher, this qualification has been incredibly valuable. It boosted my confidence in delivering professional learning and supporting colleagues during professional development sessions. The skills I gained have helped me design and deliver engaging presentations and learning opportunities for staff, which I now use regularly in my role.
Q: What impact has studying at Kangan Institute had on your confidence or career direction?
A: Studying at Kangan Institute significantly increased my confidence when working with adult learners. While my background has always been teaching children, the course gave me the skills and understanding to effectively support adult learning as well. It has also helped shape my career direction. Through ongoing conversations with my principal, we have started mapping out a future leadership pathway that builds on the skills I developed during the course.
Q: What are your future goals, and how do you see your qualification supporting them?
A: My goal is to move into a leadership role at my school, where I can mentor and support early career teachers. I am passionate about education and professional growth, and I would love to help guide others at the beginning of their careers. Long term, I hope to take on broader leadership responsibilities and support teachers across early childhood and primary education. This qualification has given me a strong foundation to achieve these goals by strengthening my ability to teach, mentor and support adult learners.
Q: What advice would you give to new students considering studying at Kangan Institute?
