This skill set is for individuals in various capacities in workplaces that handle food who require the skills and knowledge to decrease the risk of and transmission of infection whilst carrying out their daily duties.
Participants will learn to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks in organisations that include food handling in their operations.
This skill set has one unit of competency: HLTINFCOV001 Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
All students required to attend on-site learning must be fully vaccinated in line with Kangan Institute’s Vaccination Policy

You will be assessed using Questioning via self-assessed quizzes.
If the participant is unable to meet all the assessment requirements in the workplace, they will be required to attend simulated practical skill development and assessment on campus – 3 hour session.
