The Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English aims to prepare students of a non-English speaking background with the English language skills needed to continue to other English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at a higher level. Ongoing enrolments are available for government funded programs. Start any time! Entry is ongoing for a government funded course in English and the Adult Migrant English Program.

Assessment may include written and/or oral assessment methods.

What will I study?

You will study English language including speaking, listening, reading, writing, non-verbal communication and settlement topics.

What Skills will I have when I complete this course?

You will gain skills in English language including listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Additional Comments

This course is delivered as part of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) which entitles eligible recent and new arrivals to Australia to 510 hours of free English classes.
