Enrolment

Once approved, the National Training Contract is recorded in Victoria’s Epsilon Apprentice and Trainee Register. Upon notification an apprentice or trainee has selected Kangan Institute as their Registered Training Organisation, Kangan Institute will begin the enrolment process and develop a Training Plan.

Course Fees

Each year or level, apprentices and trainees must enrol in their required units. Fees are split into tuition and non-tuition (such as books, materials and/or consumables)

Course costs depend on selected units, contact hours, and non-tuition fees, and can vary between years/levels. Enrolment fees differ based on individual circumstances, with some eligible for government subsidies or concessional rates.

Who is paying?

It is always best to check with your relevant Modern Award as to who is responsible for paying the fees. Many Modern Awards require employers to pay compulsory fees for an apprentice or trainee’s training. If the employer is covering enrolment fees, Kangan Institute will issue an Authority To Invoice form and then send an invoice, payable within 30 days (GST applies if relevant).

For an apprentice or trainee to finalise their enrolment for that period and commence training, all tuition, student services and amenities fees are required to be paid in full by the due date.
