Kangan Institute’s Diploma of Music Industry students will launch an original music album Ellipses on 20 November at Musicland, Fawkner.
Incorporating rock, R&B, dance, metal, pop and funk, the album reflects the expertise of talented students who are preparing for careers in the Music industry, ranging from performance and composition to Music production and engineering.
Participating students include:
- Alex Shepherdley of Lancefield
- Kaine Mauri of Gladstone Park
- Deny Filipovic of Mickleham
- Alyssa Salvatore of Craigieburn
- Melanie Tierney of Craigieburn
- Ondré Barca of Attwood
- Giuseppe Joseph Cucinotta of Coburg
- Emma Chandler of Mordialloc
Kangan Institute’s CEO Sally Curtain said the music album project enabled students to apply technical skills and gain practical experience for careers.
“Kangan Institute’s courses are very much about equipping students with skills and experience to succeed in their future careers,” she said.
“That’s exactly what this annual music project is designed to do. It allows students to work creatively and collaboratively, as they would in industry, to develop a music album that they can be very proud of and can present to future employers.
“Well done to all the students involved and we look forward to a terrific album launch celebration.”
The Album Launch will include original and cover performances by Kangan Institute’s Certificate IV and Diploma of Music Industry students and is open to public.
