Three KanganInstitute student finalists for Victorian Training Awards

Three talented students at Kangan Institute have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2019 Victorian Training Awards.

• Victorian Vocational Student of the Year – Rachael Hilder (Diploma of Community Services CHC52015/Diploma of Justice 22320VIC) of Broadford
• Victorian Trainee of the Year – Maddison Lyall (Certificate III in Business Administration BSB30415) of Kennington
• Victorian Apprentice of the Year – Amber Gabelich (Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology AUR32416) of Lakes Entrance

Kangan Institute’s CEO Phill Murphy congratulated the students on being selected as finalists.

“The Victorian Training Awards is one of the state’s most important showcase events to celebrate the best in the TAFE and training sector,” he said.

“Being shortlisted as finalists demonstrates our students’ outstanding skills and abilities, as well as the great work by our teachers in helping them achieve their educational goals.”

The students are amongst 45 finalists across 16 categories, with results to be announced on Friday 6 September at the Victorian Training Awards gala event in Crown Palladium.
