Course structure

This course aims to provide you with knowledge and skills in the field of light vehicle mechanics.

You will study a range of specialist modules including petrol fuel systems, cooling systems and associated components, transmissions (automatic), final drive assemblies, diagnostic procedures and electronic drive management systems.

Modes of Study

This course requires face to face classroom study and compulsory work placement (arranged by Kangan Institute) of 300 hours.

Classes will be scheduled between 8.00am – 9.00pm Monday to Friday. Timetables will be confirmed at orientation.

Included in the tuition fees, however students will be required to supply their own personal stationery.

  • Academic: Australian Year 12 equivalency or higher

    English language: Academic IELTS 5.5 overall no band less than 5.0 or recognised equivalent
